This family wanted a celebration that felt classy and upscale, while still featuring funky and fun touches that made the bar mitzvah boy, Michael, the star of the show. We planned Michael’s bar mitzvah service and Kiddish lunch in his grandparent’s lovely Beverly Hills backyard plus an evening party that night. The party venue, Tiato Kitchen & Garden in Santa Monica, CA, provided the perfect indoor/outdoor set up. Having two distinct spaces that flowed well together meant that adults could enjoy an elegant sit-down meal outdoors, while the kids got to mingle, hang out, and play games. As the night continued, everyone gathered inside together to hop on the dance floor and enjoy the entertainment.
That morning, loved ones gathered to watch as Michael was called to the Torah in this intimate backyard ceremony at the home of his generous grandparents. The beautiful backyard spoke for itself and the sleek, simple luncheon set up was stunning on such a gorgeous day. The dainty floral arrangements complimented the surrounding foliage and the long tables made family feel close. Michael’s grandparents have a fabulous art collection, trampoline, basketball court, and batting cages that entertained guests and added some whimsy. Guests were treated to all their favorite Jewish deli comfort foods catered by Brent’s Deli.
At Tiato, the adult dining area felt classy and elegant, while still being cozy and intimate. The large tables made guests feel connected and close, while the sleek chairs and luxe metallic blue linens felt elevated. The mix of tall and short white floral arrangements were a modern twist on a timeless classic.
The inside of the venue was so much fun! Blue velvet lounge furniture created the perfect place to relax and take in the exciting features all around. Balloon installments gave a “wow” moment the second guests walked in.
The mirrored mirrored LED dance floor and photo booth were a hit with guests of all ages! These trendy touches made Michael feel so cool on his special day.
There was no shortage of entertainment here! Arcade games brought out guests’ competitive sides and custom sweatshirts brought out their creative sides and made perfect mementos of the fabulous night. Check out the gorgeous mitzvah mom getting personalized body art done by Tribal Markers. When the adults get in on the fun, it really takes the celebration to the next level. A vertical candy bar was filled with Michael’s favorite treats to keep guests’ sweet tooths at bay.
Michael had the most unique grand entrance! He rolled himself in inside a giant bubble ball to get the party started. He had his superstar moment getting hoisted up during the Hora with the glimmering balloon installation behind him. It was so special to create a night that celebrated Michael and his charming personality.
This night was so joyous! The party felt modern and young, while the coordinating tablescapes were classy and luxe. Michael’s friends were extremely fun to party with, and his family brought so much love. We had the best time working with this family and the best time at this event! Check out our own photo booth shot. Those smiles were so natural on a night like this.
