Our goal for Asher’s bar mitzvah was to create an event that both celebrated the his love of basketball and had a classy and fun atmosphere! The sleek decor and timeless florals were combined seamlessly with funky basketball inspired elements and touches of unexpected flair.

This event was held at Tiato Kitchen & Garden in Santa Monica, CA. The decor for the outdoor adult dining area consisted of stunning, rich blue linens and fresh, classic floral arrangements. Votives with faceted glass and twinkling candles added elegance and moody lighting.

Guests were treated to a delicious and inviting buffet style meal in the delectable Asian fusion cuisine of the venue, including grass fed beef sliders and garlic noodles.

Inside, a unique silver balloon ceiling above the ceremony set the mood for the fun and excitement of the party to come.  It was definitely a challenge to design the layout, but the ceremony angled in the corner turned out to be an amazing feature and major problem solver.

Guests of all ages were entertained by the wonderful variety of activities. There was basketball games, air hockey, a custom shirt station, and tribal marker artists to give guests unique body art. It was so much fun to watch the adult guests join in and unleash their inner child. A cool graffiti basketball wall made the perfect photo booth backdrop and helped us bring touches of Asher’s personality and interests to the whole event space.

You could feel the love at this joyous event as our bar mitzvah boy was hoisted in the air… no chair needed!! His friends’ smiles showed the DJ’s success as they played games and danced across the dancefloor.

This beautiful family was such a pleasure to work with! They gave us so much trust in our design choices and in working with them, we truly succeeded in creating the most meaningful celebration for Asher. We are ecstatic to be working with the family again for Asher’s brother’s bar mitzvah in 2023!
